Yes, even though Kenilworth’s population in 2008 was only 7,609 according to the popular website City-data.com, Kenilworth remains its own community with its own school system.  The entire borough is a little more than two miles.

2.     Is Kenilworth easily accessible to New York City?

Kenilworth is ultra-easy to get to and from New York City.  The closest train station to Kenilworth is Roselle Park.  However, it is just as easy to take a train from Cranford or Union. There is also bus service that runs from Kenilworth to New York City.  The drive from Kenilworth to NYC will take approximately 40 minutes depending on traffic.

3.     What are the common types of real estate properties in Kenilworth?

Kenilworth is made up of single and multi-family homes.  Most single family homes are Cape Cod style homes, with bedrooms on the first floor as well as on the second.  However, many new colonial homes have been built along the Boulevard.

4.     Are the taxes high in Kenilworth?

Unfortunately, real estate taxes in Kenilworth keep creeping up just like the rest of Union County.  However, on a good note the borough of Kenilworth’s taxes are modest compared to neighboring towns Union, Cranford, Roselle Park, and Westfield.

5.     Does Kenilworth have a community center and other places for newcomers?

Kenilworth has a senior center, wonderful library, and beautiful parks.  The borough is also a short drive away from the Orange Avenue pool in Cranford.  Kenilworth also has many fine restaurants, ice cream stores, grocery stores, bagel shop, and thriving businesses.
